Together for the first time, Speechati – the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum Friends section for young adults – and the Laboratorio delle idee propose an event dedicated to literature to you.
Debating is the style of the Laboratorio delle idee. The aperitif is the atmosphere of Speechati. The beautiful and fascinating backdrop is the Grand Salon of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, an intriguing historic house museum in via Gesù in Milan’s fashion quarter.
This year, Marco Balzano, a young high school teacher in Milan, has won the Premio Campiello, one of the three greatest Italian literary awards.
After his debut in 2007 with a collection of poetry Particolari in controsenso (Contradictory Details), in 2010 he published his first novel, Il figlio del figlio (The Son of the Son), followed in 2013 by Pronti a tutte le partenze (Ready for All Departures), and in 2014 by L’ultimo arrivato (The Last One to Arrive) with which he has won the 53rd edition of the prestigious literary award for Italian narrative pieces.
The aperitif is a unique chance to interact with an outstanding figure of the panorama of Italian contemporary literature on the role that writing plays, today, in society and in education, but also to talk about his book and his experiences.
We expect you in hoards and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, as usual, ready for the debate!
For security reasons and given the limited number of places, you must confirm your attendance and that of your guests by Monday, October 19, using this online registration form (click “submit” at the end):
The cost of the event is €15.00, which includes a rich buffet and two drinks
