The Friends of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum celebrate Leonardo da Vinci proposing an evening that is well-suited to a noble house like the Bagatti Valsecchi: etiquette and good table manners of the sixteenth century.
Not everyone knows, in fact, that at the court of Ludovico il Moro Leonardo didn’t do just art, architecture and engineering, but he also tried to resolve the problems of the cleanliness and hygiene of the banquets. Leonardo demonstrated his creativity even in the kitchen, stupifying his table mates with extremely elaborate dishes, the point-of-departure for the process of refining taste and the art of hospitality that continues to live even today.
We are waiting for you at the museum to discover together the extent of Leonardo’s genius and to reconstruct the history of good manners together with the Accademia Italiana del Galateo.
