With the third edition of “Intelligent hands: art skills,” realized with the support of the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, the “Thursdays at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum” start up, again. This series of initiatives animates evenings in the historic house museum on via Gesù. The golden thread of the cycle of encounters is the extraordinary capacity for craftsmanship of the men and women who have made of their craft an extraordinary art, imposing themselves as points-of-excellence on the world scene.
Images, objects and evidence of their work alternate with the words of the protagonists (in Italian), offering to the public a tangible encounter, and bringing them closer to skilled craftsmanship as each craft is addressed. At the end of each conversation, an aperitif on the museum terrace offers the possibility to meet the protagonists and to continue the conversation in a more informal ambiance.
The project has been made possible thanks to a contribution from the Region of Lombardy and the Fondazione Cariplo, as well as for the sponsorship of five leaders in the finance sector: Banca Generali, Anima, Amundi, Morgan Stanley and Oddo Meriten. The initiative has received official recognition from the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, and was realized with the media partnership of Artslife and Theartpostblog.
