Elegant stores and restaurants under ample light-filled glass ceilings: the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II has been a favorite meeting place of the Milanese bourgeoisie ever since it’s foundation…in fact, it is nicknamed “Milan’s living room.”

Constructed in the Neo-Renaissance style, it is among the most famous examples of European iron architecture, and is the archetype of commercial galleries in the 19th century.

Highline Galleria, a 250 meter long walkway perched over the glass roof of the gallery, lets visitors touch the cupola of the gallery and the sky, and fascinates them with a 360° panoramic view of Milan and the Alps surrounding it.

The Friends of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum Association will hold a visit to this special walkway for its members. (There also might be a lunch scheduled on the glass rooftop of the gallery, TBA.)
