The Great Mother: the exhibit with more than 80 international artists represented analyzes the representation and iconography of maternity in Italian art during the 20th century, from the avant-garde movements to today.
From paleolithic Venuses to the “bad girls” of post-feminism, passing through the thousands of years of religious painting, art history and the history of culture often have right at its center the figure of the mother, a symbol of creativity and a metaphor for the very definition of art.
