The masterpieces of the great 18th century of Venetian art, patrimony of the Pushkin Museum of Moscow, make a special appearance in Italy in the exhibit, The Triumph of Color. From Tiepolo to Canaletto and Guardi. Vicenza and the Masterpieces of the Pushkin Museum of Moscow. The exhibit creates a narrative able to present the development of 18th century Venetian art and its impact on European art, with artists active in every corner of the Old World. Together it will be possible to contemplate more than 500 masterpieces of which a significant number appear in history of art text books.
The Olympic Theater is one of the artistic marvels of Vicenza, a UNESCO world patrimony site. This theater represents the absolute height of creativity of one of the greatest Italian architects, Andrea Palladio, who was directly inspired by the ancient Roman theaters described by Vitruvius. We will also participate in the innovative “POP” visit created by the writer Alessandro Baricco, which aims to highlight each of the historic spaces of the Olympic Theater. Everything will be involved in the narration becoming prologue and epilogue of the spectacle, and visitors will make their way through the experience discovering stories, voices, videos and images.
