In parallel to Bookcity Milano, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum presents a small precious nucleus of the historic library of Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi, on display exceptionally for this occasion. Over the event’s three days, the historic house museum in via Gesù will organize two appointments:

  • Saturday, October 24, 2015, 11 AM (in Italian)

When architects write
Antique architectural treatises in the historic library of Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi

The architectural historian Nicola Soldini introduces visitors to the discovery of sixteenth century architectural treatises in an encounter exemplified by Cesariano’s precious edition of Vitruvius, the volumes by Sebastiano Serlio and those of Jacopo Vignola, all displayed on this occasion in the library of the museum.

Luca Crovi, Marcella Meciani and Alessandro Zaccuri
Tell me what you read, and I’ll tell you who you are
Writers and the public dialogue about their favorite books

What would be in the ideal library of Italians? How have readers’ tastes changed in the last ten years? What are the books that are abandoned after a few pages? What are the books that are unavailable, but that the reader would like to read?

An encounter with Marcella Meciani, editorial director of Mondolibri; Luca Crovi, rock critic, radio personality, writer; and Alessandro Zaccuri, writer and journalist.

During the encounter, participants will receive a surprise gift.

Organized by the Libreria degli Scrittori and Mondolibri
