Hunt for details

A special visit thanks to the Silent Book, a little book made up only of images. Realized thanks to the generous contribution of the Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte Foundation and inspired by the Wordless Book for kids, this little volume invites interpretation of the images of details and objects making up the collections. It encourages diving deep into the rooms of the museum, and being enchanted by the details and colors discovered: the geometry of ceilings and floors get mixed up with the details of chairs, coffers and musical instruments. Marble fringes, fabric flowers, and wooden decorations: did I already really see them? Visiting with the Silent Book encourages pondering the relationships between singularity and complexity, as well as between the detail and the whole.
