Between design and crafting

Guided tour

Between design and crafting

A guided tour dedicated to the relationship between design and craftsmanship at the Bagatti Valsecchi House Museum. The tour recounts how Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi personally designed many of the furnishings and objects in the residence, entrusting their creation to highly skilled Lombard craftsmen. The tour highlights the work of artisans specializing in various fields—from wood to metals, from stucco to fabrics—who were able to translate the brothers' designs into artifacts that combine Renaissance language with modern needs. An opportunity to discover the house as the result of a continuous dialogue between design, craftsmanship, and experimentation.
