Il Ballo della luna

Renaissance costume ball

Il Ballo della luna

On Saturday, March 8, at 8:30 p.m., on the occasion of the Carnevale Ambrosiano 2025, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum, in collaboration with Chincarini Eventi, presents the second edition of The Moon Ball, an exclusive evening that interweaves the charm of the Renaissance with the lively atmosphere of Carnival, in the evocative setting of one of Milan's most elegant palaces.

The event will offer a journey through time to discover the splendor of Sforza and Renaissance Milan, evoking the figures of Ludovico il Moro, Beatrice d'Este, Leonardo da Vinci and Donato Bramante. Guests will be invited to wear sumptuous period gowns and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the court, including performances by jesters and acrobats, dances and historically inspired entertainment.

The evening will begin with a grand reception, with red carpet and photo shoot for guests, followed by a refined buffet inspired by Renaissance banquets and a selection of bubbly and cocktails created for the occasion. The event will be enhanced by artistic performances and moments of entertainment that will make the experience unique and memorable.

To further enrich the evening, the Museum will host a temporary exhibition of original medals from the second half of the 19th century, made to celebrate Carnival dances and the most iconic masks of the time. The project, curated in collaboration with the School of Cultural Heritage of the Brera Academy, will offer a historical insight into one of Carnival's most fascinating traditions.
