Museocity 2025
MuseoCity 2025: The Roads of Art pass through Museo Bagatti Valsecchi The Museo Bagatti Valsecchi is taking part in Milan MuseoCity 2025 with three special events from 2 to 8 March, which will aim to investigate the connection between decorative art, literature and collecting, in harmony/ tune with the theme Le Strade dell'Arte.
Secret Museum For Museo Segreto, the Museum exhibits the volume Histoire de l'art Décoratif du XVIe siècle à nos jours by Arsène Alexandre, published in 1891 with a preface by Roger Marx. This valuable book bears witness to the rediscovery of the Renaissance as an artistic model in post-unification Italy and inspired the Bagatti Valsecchi brothers in their selection of objects to enrich their home.
Family workshop - Saturday 8 March, 3 pm A creative experience for young and old, discovering the details hidden in the Museum's rooms. With the help of special magnifying glasses, participants will explore the connections between the volume on display and the collection. concluding the tour with the creation of a carnival mask inspired by the decorative arts.
Guided tour - Friday 7 March, 5 p.m. Thematic tour that uncovers the dialogue between decoration, art and literature, revealing how Arsène Alexandre's volume influenced the Museum's collection of objects and the link with Renaissance Milan.
