Book presentation
The Bagatti Valsecchi, the civic collections and the Castello Sforzesco
On Wednesday 12 November at 6 pm, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum will host the presentation of Luca Tosi's essay I Bagatti Valsecchi, le raccolte civiche e il Castello Sforzesco (The Bagatti Valsecchi, the civic collections and the Castello Sforzesco), published in the latest issue of the Castello Sforzesco magazine Rassegna di Studi e di Notizie.
The text explores the link between Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi and the Castello Sforzesco, reconstructing the dense network of relationships, collaborations and support that the two brothers, prominent collectors in Milan between the 19th and 20th centuries, forged with the city's civic and cultural institutions. This relationship is reflected, for example, in their contribution to the restoration of the castle's drawbridge, a symbol of their commitment to the protection and enhancement of the city's artistic heritage.
