The unknown Bagatti Valsecchi

Courtyards and surroundings of a nineteenth-century palace

The unknown Bagatti Valsecchi

On the occasion of the Rete dell'800 Lombardo's weekend, the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum is offering a guided tour dedicated to the exterior spaces of the building, which are usually only seen in passing but are rich in charm and history. The itinerary begins in the courtyards, where elegant architecture and sculptures invite visitors to take a closer look, and continues with a special opening: access to the private courtyard of the Bagatti Valsecchi palace at number 7 Via Santo Spirito, which is not normally open to the public. The tour ends with a walk through the neighborhood, designed to contextualize the history of the building in the heart of 19th-century Milan.
