Ivory Collection
Ivory Collection
The ivory collection of the Bagatti Valsecchi brothers, although gathering heterogeneous objects in terms of chronology, origin and function, includes a compact nucleus of artefacts referable to the Embriachi, a workshop that dominated the production of bone and ivory objects in Italy between the 14th and 15th centuries. Fausto and Giuseppe's intention was above all to create an antiquarian collection that was also a tool for reconstructing the environment.
